It’s all about PR (Pyaar)

What is PR?

After working for so many years in the corporate world, I have no complains. I have good memories. I don’t remember the bad ones, thanks to my programmed brain, it trashed everything I don’t want to remember or recall. My brain is funny as well. I was too busy in a workshop where one of the points discussed was about how to effectively leverage on PR. It was a wrong time but my brain popped up a funny incident which happened some years ago. It was just a week our new boss joined us. He was young, vibrant and good looking. He was confident but not so comfortable with the team which was female dominated where 80% of the team members were females. That funny morning he came to work, entered his office. He came out to look for my peer who handled Marketing Communications. On not finding her, he told me to tell her that he was looking for her to discuss PR. I said Okay. When my peer came, I told her Hey morning… Boss was looking for you to discuss regarding PR. Her reaction was something unexpected. She wide opened her eyes and she looked terrified. She came close to me and asked What did you say?. I said Boss wants to talk to you about PR. Looking more terrified, she came closer to me and repeat the question What did you just say?. There I realized she heard me wrong. She heard me saying Boss wants to talk to you about Pyaar (Love). After that, my reaction was “ROFL”. How mean of me, I was not done yet. There was a round table in the same week with the Leadership Team. Bad luck for my boss, we happened to sit in the same table and we were asked to share a funny incident which happened recently. And my funny brain couldn’t think of anything but the PR (Pyaar) incident.

Things never to say to a strong woman...

Stop it. You can never stop a strong woman, so why try?
What were you thinking? She thinks about million of things.
You can't. Don't underestimate the strength of a strong woman.
Why can't you be more like...? No one can tell her to be like this or that. She won't listen.
Set your priorities right. She very well knows her priorities, they are in her mind all the time.
You don't need that. Who are you to decide that? She has it or will have it because she can afford it.
You ask too many questions. Why won't she? She needs to know, she wants to learn.
Calm down. Trust me, this is the last thing you should be saying to a strong woman.

Falling for the wrong guy

Feelings... Not a game to play

Rose met Joseph at a friend's party. Joseph is one of those Casanova type with a charming personality. He could easily woo a woman. On the contrary, Rose is someone who believes in true love. Poor Rose, she does not know that true love is not something coming on her way. Joseph doesn't have to put much effort in winning Rose's heart. Rose falls for this wrong guy. But it does not take much time for Rose to realize that Joseph is an asshole. It does not take much time for Rose to realize that Joseph has his serious girlfriend and he is just having a passing affair with her. For her it was love. For him it was just another fling. But it’s okay, shit happens. Rose is a strong woman, a winner. She moves on.

What goes around comes around. If you break someone’s heart, be sure that your heart will also be broken someday, in this same life. Joseph is just a human. He can’t escape. He also goes through the same pain. Now he realizes his faults. Now he knows the value and importance of love. Now he wants Rose back in his life. But it is already too late. Rose is someone who forgives but never forgets. She is someone who will never repeat her mistake. She is definitely not someone who will fall for the same guy again. Joseph asks Rose...  Rose, will you marry me? I simply love Rose's reply... I won't marry you even if you turn out to be the last man alive on earth. This is the kind of reply every man should get, who plays with the feelings and emotions of women.

How is it to fall in love with a Nerd? Why me? Why him? Opposite attracts... But to this extent? I love to eat, drink, sleep,  have fun, laugh out loud on stupid silly things. I love to go to places, meet people. He loves to work, work, work. He loves being at one place all the time. He is allergic to people. Thank God, he loves one good thing at least, he loves me. Why won't he, he can't get a nice girl like me, even if he hunts for one. But why him, why I fall in love with him? I have no answer. I guess people rightly said... Love is blind. I guess if I have the answer it won't be called True Love. Of course, my love is true love. Being far away from my love for many days,  I told him that we will write a letter to each other, the real letter on a real paper with a real pen. I wrote a long two page letter, expressed my feelings for him. He too wrote a letter on a big paper. I was so excited to see his letter wrapped in a big envelope. But I didn't know whether to laugh or cry or smile on reading his letter which said... I miss you. That's it?  Yes, that's it.
